This is where we tend to “nerd out.” We love our spreadsheets, timelines and our Google Drive. These tools help us to manage our listings and escrows in the most efficient and effective way possible.
We love it when people say “you can’t.” This just drives us to work harder for our clients to achieve their sales or purchase goals with each of our transactions. We have broken sales price records all over the Bay Area when “local specialists” have told us “you can’t.”
We love the challenge when someone thinks they own a certain neighborhood. We love to look at things in the opposite way that the “top agent” in a neighborhood might, and then see if a different approach can get us an even better outcome.
We are fierce protectors of our clients’ best interests. If we feel that a property is not right for a client, or a buyer is not the best one even with the top price, we will always be trusted advisers to protect their interests.
There are a lot of ways to be smart in this industry. One type is “street smarts,” and comes from being around for a long time, down in trenches, working for our clients’ best outcomes. The other is education, and yes, we have people with Master’s Degrees on our team as well. 🙂
Some people are driven by money, some by fame and notoriety, but we approach our business like a sports competition, driven to win the best outcomes for our clients through our effort, training and experiences.
What is the point of life if you can’t have a little laugh once in a while. We find if you don’t take yourself too seriously, you can have much more success AND better relationships with your clients. LOL!
We are all about efficiency, avoiding redundancies and reaching the most eyeballs that we can when it comes to listing and marketing our homes. For that reason, we stay on the cutting edge of technology, using it to our benefit again and again. We truly believe that you can always teach “old dogs new tricks” though many of our Nerd Crew are new dogs.
We had a laugh recently when we called an agent’s phone and the voicemail said, “if you are calling after 6 PM, I will return your call by 10 AM the following BUSINESS DAY.” What? This is Silicon Valley. We are here for you WHENEVER you need it by phone, text, email, DM, whatever you prefer.
This one goes back to being respectful: to people we work with, work for and negotiate with. We realize that Realtors are not known for this trait (somewhere down there with Attorneys), but we know that we do our best business when we are transparent with all parties and use this honesty and transparency to work together through tough situations for the best outcomes.
